On Wednesday, January 26, 2024, the female professors of TU Dortmund University came together for their third assembly. As in the previous year, the CET made its premises available and thus made it possible to meet in a cozy atmosphere.

This time, Prof. Dr. Petra Wiederkehr, who has been Vice President Diversity at TU Dortmund University since June 2023, provided the impetus for the event and wanted to exchange ideas and engage in conversation with her colleagues on this evening. The focus of the annual meeting was on networking and exchange. However, there was also further discussion about the function of the Female Faculty Club and what goals it should pursue.

In this context, the future design of the lunch meetings, which take place once a month during the semester, was also discussed. So far, there has been an alternation between thematic meetings (e.g. on the gender pay gap, the recruitment of academic staff and committee activities) and open-topic meetings. In general, the desire was expressed during the assembly to get to know the research of colleagues better. For this reason, the format of a "visit to colleagues" will be offered in the coming summer semester in order to get to know various female professors and their research areas directly on site in the respective premises. Prof. Anna-Lena Scherger from the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences will kick things off on Tuesday, April 22. On Wednesday, May 22, Prof. Renée Tribble invites you to the Department of Spatial Planning.
