Babysitter pool at TU Dortmund University

As a family-friendly university, we understand that life as a student and/or employee at a university can often be demanding and time-consuming. The balancing act between work, studies and family is not always easy to manage. To help university members, the Family Service has set up a babysitting pool. This service is intended to support students and employees of TU Dortmund University in organizing additional childcare. The babysitter pool enables parents to contact suitable babysitters quickly and easily.
Babysitter placement
The Family Service is currently building up a pool of babysitters. The aim is to provide university members with quick and easy support in the event of childcare shortages. The TU Dortmund University Family Service manages the respective contacts and thus enables parents and babysitters to get in touch with each other.
Interested parents can contact the Family Service with their childcare request. The Family Service distributes your request within the babysitter pool and arranges contact between the potential applicant and the parents. Parents and babysitters negotiate the contractual and financial conditions individually. *
In addition to regular childcare, babysitters also offer homework supervision or tutoring in certain subjects by arrangement.

The Family Service is looking for suitable babysitters to join the babysitting pool:
Prerequisites for admission to the babysitting pool are, in the best case, practical experience in childcare, enjoyment in dealing with children and a short personal meeting at the Family Service. TU Dortmund University students and other interested persons can join the babysitter pool after the initial interview.
