Families at the TU Dortmund

At TU Dortmund University, we do not use the term "family" to refer to a formal structure, but rather to people who assume responsibility for each other over the long term as part of a personal bond. Thus, family friendliness benefits all forms of family. Family-friendly measures equally support students and employees of TU Dortmund University so that responsibility for children and family members in need of assistance can be reconciled with studies or work.
In 2014, the TU Dortmund signed the charter "Family in Higher Education" and is a member of the association of the same name. It is also active in the HochschulNetzwerk Familie NRW.
