The anti-Semitic incidents of violence in the context of colleges and universities affect Jewish people in many ways. The associated uncertainties reinforce the ongoing devastating consequences of the terrorist attack against the Israeli civilian population and the war, as well as existing fears and concerns in the Jewish community.

The anti-Semitic incidents of violence in the context of colleges and universities affect Jewish people in many ways. The associated uncertainties reinforce the ongoing devastating consequences of the terrorist attack against the Israeli civilian population and the war, as well as the existing fears and concerns of the Jewish community.

With this in mind, we are offering Jewish students at TU Dortmund University, Bochum University and Duisburg-Essen University a Safer Space in cooperation with the Anti-Discrimination Office of Ruhr University Bochum and OFEK e.V.. The Safer Space is moderated by a counselor and a psychologist from the OFEK team.

When?

16.04. at 5 p.m.

21.05. at 5 p.m.

18.06. at 6 p.m.

Where?

The Safer Space takes place digitally. You will receive the access link after registration at: saferspacesofek-beratungde

In the Safer Space we want to exchange ideas and strengthen each other. With the guided group discussion, we want to create a space to be there for each other. The space is open to Jewish students in order to explicitly provide a space for the context of higher education and universities and the associated uncertainties.

If you need advice or have any questions, the team at the Central Advice Centre for Protection against Discrimination and Sexualized Violence (SchuDS for short) will be happy to help:
