The International Spring Academy Ruhr 2022 " City Entrances" is part of the series of events initiated in 2012 and held regularly since 2013.
In this year's Spring Academy, the students will deal with the topic of city entrances and examine correspondingly selected sites in the four participating university cities of Potsdam, Eindhoven, Naples and Dortmund.
The goal of the workshop is to strengthen the urban and architectural identity of these places, especially since they often shape the first impression and sometimes beyond that the image of a city.
The joint work and the exchange of content with students and teachers from the participating European universities as well as with the invited speakers from science, politics, culture, architecture and urban planning as well as planning administration is an extraordinary learning and teaching experience for all participants.
The next International Spring Academy Ruhr will take place in spring 2023.
