Discrimination and sexual violence are investigated thoroughly and relentlessly at the request of the person seeking advice, and are dealt with appropriately within the limits of what is legally and practically possible.

SchuDS staff do not conduct complaint proceedings, but they do offer confidential counseling on how to file a complaint as well as support for the complainant during proceedings.

For individuals who wish to file or pursue a complaint, this supportive counseling can be a source of relief—though it is optional.

The following offices accept complaints:

Internal Complaint Offices

Employees who feel they have been discriminated against on the basis of race, ethnic origin, gender, religion or belief, a disability, age, or sexual identity. Under the AGG, the term “employee” also includes job applicants, trainees, and persons in a relationship analogous to that of an employee. Individuals who file a complaint must not suffer any adverse consequences as a result of doing so. Complaints cannot be filed anonymously. Students can contact TU Dortmund University’s Central Complaints Management Office regarding issues that span multiple faculties or where collaborative solutions have so far been unsuccessful. The complaints received there also help ensure the long-term quality of education.
