On May 27, 2025 at 4 p.m., journalist, doctor and political scientist Gilda Sahebi will give an important lecture on the dangers of hate speech for our democracies.

To mark German Diversity Day on May 27, 2025, the Equal Opportunities, Family and Diversity Office invites all members of the university to an insightful lecture by Gilda Sahebi. Under the title "How hate speech endangers democracies and what we can do about it", the renowned journalist, doctor and political scientist will discuss the current global developments and challenges posed by group-based misanthropy. The importance of counter-speech will also be discussed. After the lecture, you will have the opportunity to talk to Gilda Sahebi and other participants and share your thoughts.

Registration is not necessary - we look forward to seeing you there!

Green Lecture Hall at Martin-Schmeißer-Platz (diagonally opposite the Mathetower)

In case of bad weather, the event will be held in Lecture Hall II at Emil-Figge-Str. 50.
