Content

In urban spaces, artists negotiate building culture, social realities and urban planning, unprotected and physically exposed. The interest is particularly focused on places that are marked by extreme tensions. The Ruhr region therefore appears to be an ideal research area: high culture as well as precarious spaces intermingle. Whether on the A 40, in Dortmund-Nord, in the Reinoldikirche or in the Zollern colliery - the urban artists are challenged by harsh contrasts. Factual analyses and subjective rearrangements emerge that sharpen and broaden the consciousness of a region. Open project work gives impulses to think about high and everyday culture.

The architecture, machines, vegetation, museums, people and the animal kingdom became the occasion for signs and the projection surface of inner sensitivities. The students changed the world of things through grace and expression, reflecting physical feelings, states and ideas.
