Gender-neutral language can be unsettling in everyday work situations—but it can also help foster more inclusive communication. This interactive workshop provides the basics, practical tips, and strategies for confidently using gender-sensitive language.

Gender-inclusive language can raise questions in everyday work life. The interactive workshop“Oops—Did I Say Something Wrong?—Gender-Inclusive Language” covers the basics, demonstrates different ways of using gender-inclusive language, and offers practical tips for inclusive communication.

Using concrete examples from everyday work life, participants can immediately apply what they’ve learned. Participants are welcome to submit their own examples—such as from emails, forms, or conversations—in advance.

The workshop is open to all interested employees at TU Dortmund University; no prior knowledge is required.
