Families at the TU Dortmund University

At TU Dortmund University, we do not use the term "family" to describe a formal structure, but rather people who take responsibility for each other in the long term as part of a personal relationship. This means that family friendliness benefits all forms of family. Family-friendly measures support TU Dortmund University students and employees alike so that responsibility for children and family members in need of assistance can be reconciled with studies or work.

TU Dortmund University signed the "Family in the University" charter in 2014 and is a member of the association of the same name. It is also active in the NRW University Family Network.
