Short Interview: "9x kluge Zwerge"
Hanin Ghazalin has been working as a child care provider at “9x klugen Zwergen” for ten months now, and Christina Sapienza will be joining her on August 1, 2026. We’re really looking forward to meeting her!
Hanin Ghazalin:
My name is Hanin Ghazalin, and I’m 27 years old. I have five years of experience as a babysitter and have been working as a child care provider at the “9 x kluge Zwerge” daycare center for ten months. During this time, I’ve realized that this profession is exactly right for me: I truly enjoy working with children, and I feel very comfortable in this role. In my free time, I like to read books and hang out with friends.
Christina Sapienza:
Hello, I’m Christina, 33 years old and a mom of two. I’ve been supporting children in their development for many years and am very much looking forward to working as a child care provider. It’s important to me to create a loving, safe, and trusting environment where every child can thrive as an individual. In my free time, I enjoy baking and cooking, spending time in nature, and being creative. I like to incorporate these interests into my daily routine with the children.
What do you prioritize when caring for the children?
Hanin Ghazalin:
It’s especially important to me to recognize and understand the children’s needs. Every child should feel comfortable with me and see me as a trusted caregiver they can turn to with all their concerns, big and small. I place a high value on hygiene, connecting with nature, and fostering creativity, so that the children have the freedom to develop while also enjoying their daily lives.
Christina Sapienza:
For me, a sense of security, trust, and a secure attachment come first. Children should feel accepted and be allowed to learn and grow at their own pace. I place great importance on treating children with respect, fostering independence, and maintaining a close and trusting partnership with parents. Every child is unique, and I provide individualized guidance and support for each child’s development.
What do you most enjoy doing with the children?
Hanin Ghazalin:
I enjoy taking the children outside to the garden or playing creative games with them indoors. Free play is just as important to me—it’s a time when I observe the children and support their imagination without guiding them too much.
Christina Sapienza:
I love being outdoors—at playgrounds, in nature, or exploring the surroundings together. I also enjoy baking and cooking with the children; we read books, sing, dance, and discover the world with all our senses. Free play and small everyday tasks are also an important part of this for me, because through them, children learn independence, language, and social skills in a playful way. It’s important to me that the children can joyfully gain new experiences every day and explore their world with curiosity.
