Vacation care
The vacation care at TU Dortmund University is for children of students and employees as well as members of the FH Dortmund University of Applied Sciences. Children from 6 to approx. 13 years of age are looked after from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 16:00.
You can use the registration form to register for all of this year's vacation childcare programs. There are enough places available so that you can also book care spontaneously according to your needs. It is not necessary to book all weeks in one booking. As usual, you can also book the final offer shortly before the respective vacations.

When and where?
Vacation care takes place for a total of seven weeks a year: In the two Easter and fall vacation weeks as well as in the first three weeks of the summer vacation, children are usually cared for on the South Campus of the TU Dortmund University.
Costs?
The parents' fee for all vacation weeks is 30 euros per child and week for students' children and 40 euros per child and week for employees' children.
Good to know
TU Dortmund University is obliged to report the monetary benefit to the State Office for Salaries and Benefits for the weeks of vacation care used. This amount will be noted on your pay slip (imputed income) and added to your gross salary and taxed.
Depending on the amount of kids, who register for the vacation care, the amount may be lower.
Please note: The actual costs that you incur for the child vacation care per week/child will only show up in the payroll. The higher wage tax and social insurance will be deducted from the net wage in a later month after individual recalculation in the corresponding amount. With the annual tax equalization (as part of the income tax return), you may get back a portion of the tax withheld due to imputed income; your individual tax circumstances are decisive here. Please consult a tax advisor for detailed information.
We would be happy to provide you with an overview of the possible contributions that are calculated as imputed income:
Easter vacations: approx. 230 euros per child/week
Summer vacations: approx. 301 euros per child/week
Autumn vacations: approx. 265 euros per child/week.
