Content

The interdisciplinary seminar "Basic Questions of Political Philosophy and Theory" provides an insight into topics, basic positions and modes of argumentation of political philosophy and political theory and shows the possibilities of interdisciplinary research of philosophy and political science. The seminar will clarify whether and to what extent political philosophy and political theory can be clearly separated from each other, although they refer to the same basic topics and concepts. To this end, theoretical positions on this question will be discussed on the one hand, and on the other hand, examples of relevant concepts and topics from political philosophy and theory, such as the state, justice, freedom, human rights and multiculturalism, will be focused on and discussed with regard to their similarities and differences.

The event takes place within the Master's programme in Philosophy and Political Science - MAPP.
